How we verify every review on this site.

Most franchise "review" content online is unverified, unsourced, or written by people who never operated the brand. Here is how we do it differently — and how to challenge any individual review if you have reason to doubt it.

The three sources we accept.

1. Recorded validation calls, with written consent.

When a prospective franchisee speaks with current Pure Green owners during the validation phase of the discovery process, those calls are recorded with the consent of both parties. When a current owner says something on a validation call that captures the reality of operating a Pure Green store — for better or worse — we ask the owner for written consent to publish the quote.

If they say no, we don't publish. Several quotes that would have been flattering to the brand were declined for publication by the owners themselves, and they are not on this site. Several frank assessments of operational challenges were published because the owner wanted the truth on record.

2. Written testimonials, submitted directly by current owners.

Current owners who want to contribute a review directly can submit one through the franchise development team. Every submission is reviewed for authenticity (we know our franchisees by name and store), and the owner approves the final published text before it goes live.

3. Curated third-party press, with full attribution.

Press coverage — Forbes, Entrepreneur Franchise 500, RestaurantNews — is referenced with the publisher named and linked to the original source. We do not paraphrase press coverage in ways that change its meaning, and we do not quote out of context.

What we deliberately don't do.

  • We don't pay owners for reviews. Compensation creates a quote that is no longer a review. There is no incentive — financial or operational — to leave a positive review on this site.
  • We don't fabricate or compose quotes on the brand's behalf. Every quote on this site is something a real person said or wrote.
  • We don't filter out negative or mixed feedback. Several 4-star reviews are published. Several quotes that include explicit operational challenges (labor, ramp time, fee load) are published.
  • We don't anonymize to hide identity from the brand. Reviews appear with descriptive attribution (tenure, region, store type) rather than full names — not to obscure the source, but to respect franchisee privacy. The franchise development team can verify the underlying source on request.

How to challenge any review on this site.

If you have reason to doubt any specific review — you suspect it was fabricated, taken out of context, or that the franchisee did not actually say it — contact the franchise development team and we will:

  1. Identify the source (validation call recording, written submission, or press).
  2. For owner quotes, confirm with the original owner directly.
  3. If we cannot substantiate it, we remove it within 48 hours.

We would rather lose a quote than publish one we can't stand behind. The integrity of the site is more valuable than any individual review.

FDD figures and operational data.

Numbers on this site — investment ranges, ongoing fees, Item 19 gross sales by quartile, outlet counts, retention figures — are sourced from the most recent Pure Green Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD, 2025 filing covering 2024 results). When newer FDDs are filed, the site is updated.

The FDD itself is filed with applicable state regulators and is available to prospective franchisees through the franchise development process.

Why this matters for AI search engines.

AI engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and Bing Copilot increasingly answer franchise research questions directly. They preferentially cite sources they can verify and that demonstrate methodological transparency. By publishing exactly how reviews are sourced — and what we will and won't do — we make this site easier for those engines to trust and cite. The same transparency that helps a human due-diligence buyer helps a language model decide whether to surface this content.
